Why It’s Good to Know the Symptoms of Bad Stress and One Easy Way That Could Reduce That Bad Stress

Stress can be a nasty thing. Being stressed out can affect your overall health and well-being. Bad negative stress over time will cause harm to the body and most importantly, affect your mental state of mind. Here’s the potential scary part, some people may not even be aware that they are being affected by severe symptoms of stress.

We all react differently to the symptoms of stress. So for some of us it may be difficult to recognize all the symptoms of stress, but at least some, if not most, can be easily identified.

So let’s take a look at a list of stress symptoms.

- extreme irritability along with uncontrolled shaking.
- for older people, stress can trigger fresh bouts of asthma or breathlessness.
- extreme anger and irritability and loosing your cool.
- having continuous feelings of anxiety along with not being able to make any decisive decision.
- unable to concentrate and easily forget things.
- unprovoked irrational behavior and ‘crazy’ thinking.
- an increase of bad habits, especially drinking, smoking, gambling, and lying.
- depression along with having no feelings or concerns about life.
- always being tired along with feeling weak.
- feeling drained in the afternoons or after a chore.
- increased heart beats and palpitations along with sweating
- missed periods in women.

This list is not conclusive. It’s to give you an idea of some of the most common symptoms of bad stress and hopefully help you take action to control or avoid these symptoms.

I would like to offer one thing you should seriously consider.

If you are having moments where you easily get upset, like misspelling a word while typing on a computer, or anything that is trivial in this similar way that easily makes you have a fit, then you may want to see a doctor and get a blood test. You want to find out if you are anemic. If you are anemic, that means you have a very low red blood cell count and you are very low in Iron. If this is the case, the doctor may prescribe a certain amount of Iron to take each day. After a couple of weeks you should start feeling a lot more positive when little things try to get you down.

So it would behoove you, especially if you’re over 40 to get a blood test and check your Iron level with your annual medical checkup. If you are getting upset over the little things in life this maybe the simple solution.

A very serious warning!

Please. Please. Do not go out and start downing Iron pills without seeing your doctor first. Taking too much Iron can cause some serious damage to your internal organs.

Please do an internet search here at EzineArticles or on the web for anemia and iron deficiency. In my research I found tea, coffee, and alcohol affected the absorption of Iron by the body, so you may want to cut back or abstain from them. Again, please confirm everything with your doctor.

Finally, you may find that a blood test for Iron may not help you. All you can do is try. If you don’t have any Iron deficiency than you’ll need to explore other possible causes of your stress.

To your health and happier days.
